There is nothing wrong in trying to secure a good life for oneself. But when that comes at the cost of mental peace and that constant fear that if he takes a step, he will face the repercussions, its not worth it. In the movie they show the government as an organization that can take any step to suppress someone who goes against it. We see a similar situation around us everyday. Desires, money, fear - its there in our daily lives.
